The C.A.F. Adventures are going to be unique for Crohn’s and IBD sufferers. Many IBD sufferers can be scared about going into the wilderness and taking part in activites of the beaten path. The C.A.F. wants everyone to feel comfortable during events. We will be researching event sites to make sure that they aren’t to far away from the facilities that a IBD patient might need. It’s important to us at the Crohn’s Adventures Foundation for all involved to be completely safe and comfortable in all surroundings. We will make sure that within a short distance facilities such as hotels/motels, are available. As well as hospitals for the “just in case” scenario.
Our goal is for everyone to learn how to deal with their IBD condition better, by learning adversity on adventures and events. Knowing how to adapt and adjust on you feet during adventures will lead to patients with IBD, family and friends learning how to adapt to difficulties with illness when at home which can make a world of difference. It lead to Brian always having the positive outlook that he has.
We have many ideas for trips and events of all kinds and for all seasons to help our cause in raising awareness for Crohn’s. We always will take suggestions for possible events, trips and expeditions. If you have any please email us at:
